"This worked out really well as my partner tore their ACL earlier in the year and needed to keep their leg in a brace like this after surgery for weeks. Got this and it turned out to be perfect. It is quite large and bulky, but that was, we were told, kind of part of the point. It has two metal braces on either side with a hinge at the knee and is such that you fasten it on around your thigh and calf and it should stop you being able to move or give in any way the hinge does not allow. My partner needed their leg straight with no bend at all, and this allowed that, handling their weight and other movement without issue. It did not cause any pain or discomfort (other than being a bulky brace overall; the other brace we had was actually worse for this, and as far as I can tell, all braces such as this are designed this same way). The brace offered exactly the kind of stability and support it was meant to to allow for improved recovery time for my partner (following strict orders of course). And the brace is still in great condition, should we ever need it again, or anyone else in the family I guess."

In testing, I had to ensure to place the top and bottom at the correct spacing around my knee, but I'm petite, so this is likely why it took more maneuvering for me. It came with extra padding, which would help to make the fit more snug. It's very sturdy and feels to be the same quality as the one I'd gotten from insurance in the past."

"After dealing with the leg injury that was related to having kids, I've had issues bending and swinging my right leg. While I've never been prescribed brace, I saw this one and decided to give it a try to see if it allows for any extra motor function throughout the day. As this brace is quite large and bulky, I did have to wear it over my pants so it's definitely not something you want to wear if you're trying to be discreet. It has several points of contact along thigh all the way down to the ankle and each are done up with velcro bracing. I did notice that it was able to give my leg a little bit more support and kept my lower leg from swaying too much as been doing since I was injured. Overall I think if you're in the market for a leg brace to wear at home or simply don't mind it being on display publicly then this one would definitely do the job."
