1.Secure strap 1 around the leg.lt should be abovethe calf muscle to prevent sliding
2.Secure strap 2 around the calf for lower leg stability
3.Wrap straps 3 & 4 for upper leg stability
Measure the circumference of the thigh according to the chart, 5 inches above the knee on the outside of the thigh and 5 inches below the knee on the outside of the calf.
Then find your corresponding size according to the size chart.
Inserting peg in front prevents exten-sion(knee straightening)Peg in backprevents flexion (knee bending).
Use a screwdriver to remove screws for inserting flexion/ex-tension stops.
Pegs with rectangle back are forex-tension adjustment, round for flexion.Insert desired peg and reinsert screw.
Put screws back. Be sure that screws are seated and snug. Both medial (inside) hinge and lateral (outside) hinge stops must be identical in degrees.
The previous version has only one hinge to adjust the Angle, the new version adds a hinge, a total of two hinges, increase the force area, reduce pain.
Turn the upper and lower adjustable hinges simultaneously in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction to the desired Angle, allowing the bracket to push and pull the knee close simultaneously.

"I��ve had an infection with a total knee replacement and currently have temporary medicinal parts in my knee. This causes a wobbly knee and creates a lot of strain on my same side hip and back. This brace is excellent for taking the load off of the hip and back, while providing some pretty good stability to the wobbly knee. "Playing softball and basketball often and being in my 50s, I will occasionally tweak or twist a knee when I pivot or jump. Usually it takes a few days to loosen up and feel like it is back to normal. With this Orthomen knee brace, I feel like I have a lot more knee joint support when I do have knee pain. At this age, I do expect some sort of discomfort or pain after extensive knee use, but being able to unload some pressure off of my right knee really does help speed up my recovery time. When I first opened the package up, I was somewhat intimidated by the multitude of straps, all of the components, and the instructions. But after reading all of the directions, it was simplified greatly - just secure the straps in the order in which they are numbered in the instruction booklet and you are good to go. I damaged the cartilage in my right knee back in high school and really have been dealing with knee issues pretty regularly since then. This Orthomen brace does a really good job staying in place once it is put on. When walking you can actually tell there is less pressure being put on your knee than usual, which is beneficial. Also, my knee joint feels more stable than usual when I am wearing this Orthomen brace. This knee offloader is a great product. It is pricy, but it is worth it to me because of the relief I get from using it. This specific brace that I ordered is for the right knee only. Be sure that you order the correct size and for the correct leg. This brace is great for all knee joint pain, including osteoarthritis, arthritis, and cartilage or meniscus issues. The brace is breathable too, so you will not feel totally restricted when using this. If you experience any knee discomfort at all then this brace might be something that would benefit you. "My father suffers with knee pain from depleted cartilage in his knee. Surgery will be the route ultimately, but we have a lot of obligations this summer, so fitting that in right now didn't make much sense. I got this for him to try. Here's how it went: - He is a heavier set gent, and this fit comfortably around his leg. He was able to adjust it to be the exact correct size for his leg at the thigh and the calf. The padding does a good job of not creating any pressure points, while still keeping it securely in place. - It then sort of takes the pressure off your knee so you can walk easier without all the weight bearing on your sore spots. - He finds it easier to wear with looser pants or ideally shorts. It's now warming up enough for shorts to be his go to. - He wore it on a theme park day with his grandkids and said it made a massive difference to the amount of time he was able to stay and was able to participate in more. - He says you will feel it if you wear it long on your other muscles that accommodated your knee, but it's nothing bad, just noticeable. Overall, the brace itself its made of really nice materials. You can feel the quality when handling the brace. It's also proven to be massively helpful for my father. So I would call this a massive win if you're not in a place to get surgery or are recovering from an injury!"
"I had major knee surgery on my left knee and they had given me a side specific brace that worked very well. It was insanely expensive but the insurance covered it. When I started having pain in my right leg, I ordered the Orthomen OA Unloader Knee Brace for my right leg. The brace comes in a plain brown box. Inside is the brace itself, a screwdriver for adjustments, spare buckles and the clips for limiting the range of motion of the hinge. It's nice that they include so many limiting clips as it is much easier to slowly change the flex amount as your knee gets stronger. The brace works well and is very comfortable to wear. The velcro straps make it simple to adjust how tight it is so you can get it comfortable for your leg size. I wore it for hours when walking and it helped to decrease the pain from what it normally is after that much time. Now, the written instructions are confusing to understand without previous experience. Thankfully, the video by Orthomen makes it MUCH easier to set up and adjust the brace. It is definitely worth the time to watch. Overall, I am very happy with the Orthomen brace. It is comfortable, VERY adjustable and has eased my knee pain greatly. At $123, it is more expensive than my over the counter braces I have purchased but it works much better and is still a LOT cheaper than the one prescribed to me by my surgeon in the past."
