"This is a very durable knee brace to help redistribute pressure on the knee. Most of the weight is through the hinge that is made with strong metal. Over and bellow the hinge, there is a tough plastic cast with Velcro band to tighten on thighs and calves. These Velcro belts are well cushioned and lined with anti-slippery rubber dots. Once you selected your size, you can use the buckles to take on and off. It is very easy and comfortable to use. The key to reduce pain on the knee is to pass the weight from thigh to calf through the frame. As to the hinge, there are two ways to adjust the angles: left and right, or back and forth, with three screws and several space-limiting blocks. On the left leg, I need to adjust the the virus/valgus a little inward to adapt to the angle between the calf and thigh. The brace comes with a block to prevent the joint from turning past the straight line, so you can stand straight without worrying about bending forward."

"My husband blew out his ACL back in July. Without medical insurance, we haven��t been able to get it taken care of, but have spent a small fortune to try to find a decent brace for it.
