"I use this instead of the really large and awkward brace for my ankle at night for plantar fasciitis. While it is not as firm for that purpose as the large brace, it does help and I can actually fall asleep reasonably. I have used it for support walking only in my home and for short periods. It has been fine for short periods in my shoe, but I have not tried it for longer periods."
