Kept my brace in place all day.
"I wore a brace every day for several months after I injured my knee two years ago. Now I only wear it when I am going to be on my feet a lot or when my knee is acting up. I wish that I had had this strap when I was wearing the brace every day as it often tended to slip down out of place. I wore the brace all day recently with this extra Anti-Slip strap around the brace and my calf muscle and the brace right in place all day."
Brace for impact!
"Bending down and picking up boxes over and over again can sometimes drain your strength so quickly, especially if your knee scrapes against the concrete floor and you're moving about in that general area of your body. It all eventually comes crashing down when you go for a shower, look down, and see all of the scrape marks and red bruises that show up because of that. That's why when I received this knee brace by orthomen, I instantly had this on and ever since, it's been making my life such a breeze. No more will I have to combat with all of the floor bits that used to hit my skin. The pressure this has as well makes it so that my leg is still strong and kept its strength throughout the day!"
Comfortable Brace I Feel for Shorter People, Adjusts Easily and Worth It
"This is the BEST brace. I fractured my kneecap and I am short. The one the Orthodpedic Dr gave me was for a very tall person. This I feel fits well for short people. I am 5�� 2�� and it fits well above the knee cap as well as below. Some of the tabs which attach to the Velcro were too long so I was able to cut them and adjust them to my leg size. Wear this (without cutting) for a few days to learn exactly how much you can cut and on which strap. There are 4 straps (2 above my kneecap and 2 below). This is a very comfortable brace but I did buy THE ORTHOMEN KNEE BRACE ANTI-SLIP STRAP to help keep the brace to stay in place. That has been a game changer. I bought 2 and placed them one under the strap on my kneecap and the other above the strap on my kneecap - keeps this from slipping at least 4 hours. You do need to readjust the brace after about 4 hours because your leg fluid goes down from the compression of the straps on your legs but it is easy - you just readjust the Velcro and pull it over. Once you see the setup you will understand how to do this. I like this because you clip the brace into place THEN you adjust the Velcro straps. With all things you will find the places to fit and adjust with time. I lam in this brace from September 1st to December 1st and I am doing well. I am enjoying getting around better and I am glad I bought this brace instead of the one the hospital gave me for people who are 6 feet and above."
Things you need and didn't know they exist
"This is one of those things I needed and didn't know it existed. I have had this issue with braces my entire life and her is the awesome solution. This works well and is built to last. It is long enough to help almost anyone with this problem. It really makes my brace work correctly now and is so much more comfortable than cinching up the straps when you stand but having to losing them when you sit. Hey and the price is outstanding."
Inexpensive Brace Upgrade
"I wear an unloader brace when doing dynamic sports where I can't always keep my knee straight. I have some pretty significant pain on the inside of my knee without the brace. However, especially on hot days where I sweat more, the brace can often slide down and I spend a decent amount of time after about an hour of hard playing, constantly pull my brace up a quarter of an inch or more. Over and over -- it gets quite annoying. Also, I actually broke an unloader brace last year at the hinge; I'm actually guessing it's from me pulling at the top cuff repeatedly, to try to get it back into place. So, this has really been great for me. With this in place, I've played for almost two hours without it getting to that "constant slipping" state that I usually get to at about the hour mark. Much more comfortable, especially since i tend to get major chafing right behind my knee when the brace slips. Also, I'm hoping that it will extend the life of my brace, since I'm not pulling on it every few minutes anymore. Inexpensive and seems to work really well. The only negative is that it adds additional bulk to a brace that is already somewhat bulky. But on balance, I'll take the bulk for the positive benefits."
